ObsCure

Developed by Hydravision Entertainment, ObsCure was released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in 2004. The game was noted for its atmosphere, its attention to detail and for making the story entirely playable in co-op mode. In 2014, the game was re-released on Steam by Mighty Rocket Studio, making this the only official way to play the game today.

Unfortunately, the Steam version has a lot of flaws, it is absolutely not the best way to play ObsCure. For a better experience, it is recommended to play the PlayStation 2 version or the Steam version with the Music restoration mod by Bwah117.

If you speak Spanish, you can watch the YouTube video below, which was made by the admin of this site. Otherwise, here's a quick explanation on why it is not recommended to play the Xbox, PC and unmodded Steam versions:

It's also important to note that the PlayStation 2 version has the best lighting by far, which affects the atmosphere of the game. Also both the original PC and the Steam versions have an issue with audio synchronisation during in-game cutscenes, which can make the dialogues harder to understand.

These are the most important reasons why I recommend playing the PlayStation 2 version. The modded Steam version is a good option, but you should know that there is no mod as of today that restores the lighting of the PS2 version or fixes the audio sync issues.
